Something not so nice happened to my laptop last night.
It was working perfectly fine as usual. I close the lid, drive home from my mums, open it up, only to have it freeze at the boot menu… This only can mean that my harddrive is fried … Which then means THREE FUCKING YEARS OF MY PHOTOS ARE GONE.
I only use it for surfing the web, storing my photos, and editing them. I have over 100 gigabytes of photos. If they’re gone I know I’ll feel like shot for forever. I take photos every day so that when I’m older or have babies I’ll have something to look back on…
It’s really upsetting to think those 3 years of memories have been fried away…
Anyone ever face a similar problem?

I can help!!! Mine literally fried (caught on fire—old pc laptop). Call your twin because as long as the memory is OK, we can take it out and store it on your dad’s computer or an external drive or somethin’!

My boyfriend’s laptop got fried about a year ago when our cat knocked it off the table. The only real advice I can give you is to next time have a back up external hard drive.
